CASP is a software company, based in Athens, Greece, working closely with European and local industry as well as with Universities and Technological institutes, on developing and marketing Business Solutions for a wide range of industrial problems. CASP develops and markets Business Solutions for Enterprise Resource Planning, Production Scheduling, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Virtual Reality Applications and Product and Process Design. CASP provides advanced concepts and software solutions based on State of the Art tools and Technologies for Object Oriented Design and Development. CASP provides software solutions based on advances engineering concepts for a variety of industrial sectors such as: Production Scheduling for the Textile, Food and Maritime industry, ERP for the Maritime industry, Quality Control for the Aerospace and Automotive industry, Product Design for Aerospace and Maritime industry.

Involvement in MERGING

The main role of CASP in the MERGING project will be to support the developments regarding the Work Cell Control (WP6). Specifically, CASP will develop an integration and communication framework that will support multiple robot control and real-time supervision. Given the service oriented nature of the integration architecture to be developed in MERGING, CASP is an ideal partner for taking up its development. CASP aims at extending AUTORECON control software in order to meet the objectives of MERGING and more specifically to support vertical and horizontal integration.
CASP will also lead the specifications definition Work Package (WP2) mainly focusing on the technical requirements (T2.3). Furthermore, CASP will use its expertise in software development and system integration in order to lead the software integration activities that will be carried out in T7.2.
Finally CASP will take part in the demonstration activities to supervise the smooth running of its developments and carry out any fine tuning that might be necessary.
